This photo captures the harsh lines and smooth curves of the Chatswood Concourse. Along with the light pastel-style colours of blue and grey, this building represents Chatswood as a whole; being sleek, urban and contemporary. When my camera was positioned just under the vents, I created the effect of an ascending staircase. With the sun shining over the building from behind, it emphasises the great architecture of the Concourse.
The picture of a trolley sitting where it shouldn't is indicative of a council's struggle to maintain order against a rising tide of population increase and cultural diversity. It challenges a once much quieter and more conservative upper north shore suburb.
